About Me
My Approach
For me, as a Person centred and experiential psychotherapist (PCEP), I hold the core values of empathy, congruence, unconditional positive regard and the therapeutic relationship at the heart of my practice. I believe that provided with a relationship whereby you can safely experience being truly accepted, valued and understood; personal growth and movement are able to flourish. I believe that when all aspects of yourself are brought into awareness and provided with the above conditions, opportunities arise for reevaluating conditions of worth and introjections placed on us by significant others and society, enabling them to be explored and become more congruent, lowering anxiety and felt distress.

My awareness of power dynamics within the relationship and society both now and historically, means that I make a conscious awareness not to heighten ‘power over’ a client and I take into consideration ethics within the therapeutic relationship. I also strive to work within your frame of reference, remaining alongside you throughout your therapeutic journey which you control. I value each client's diversity and uniqueness and strive to have an awareness of my own status within society and differences within the therapeutic relationship. I am a registered student member with the BACP, trainee member with the UKCP and am in my final stage of a 4 year MSc in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy, which is a UKCP accredited course with Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI). I abide by the UKCP, BACP and SPTI codes of ethics.
